In the land of eternal spring, rainy season brings a bit of cold in San Jose, Costa Rica. Our hostel cat (who I named Honeypot) was just the thing I needed while sipping tea and listening to the rain outside.
While this isn’t the most welcoming looking church in the world to begin with, I love how the B/W brings out the details of the architecture.
San Jose oozes European feel. Not only is some of the architecture similar, but the sculptures and fountains you find everywhere seem eerily familiar.
They tell you, “Don’t go to San Jose. It is dangerous.”
I’m not sure what context they are talking about. Because in Latin America? San Jose is a cinch. I actually rather enjoyed the 4 days we spent there – and didn’t plan on spending ANY time there. Not only is there a thriving market (hold on to your stuff!), but the town overall is really beautiful (at least downtown).
