A Stark Church in San Jose, Costa Rica
Somehow when I photograph things when it rains (which it rained on us 10 out of the 12 months we were traveling) and I place it in black and white – the outcome is kinda creepy and strange.
While this isn’t the most welcoming looking church in the world to begin with, I love how the B/W brings out the details of the architecture.

San Jose oozes European feel. Not only is some of the architecture similar, but the sculptures and fountains you find everywhere seem eerily familiar.
Teatro Nacional – San Jose, Costa Rica
They tell you, “Don’t go to San Jose. It is dangerous.”
I’m not sure what context they are talking about. Because in Latin America? San Jose is a cinch. I actually rather enjoyed the 4 days we spent there – and didn’t plan on spending ANY time there. Not only is there a thriving market (hold on to your stuff!), but the town overall is really beautiful (at least downtown).
