Are you visiting Latin America, but only have a limited budget to work with? Worry not – it is entirely possible to have an amazing experience in many Latin American countries, even if you are on a shoestring budget. With this in mind, here are just a few of the ways in which can make the most of your travels within this area of the world, without spending a fortune.

Firstly, it is important to remember that Latin America covers a relatively large area of the world, but if you’re prepared to travel as a backpacker then it is entirely possible to visit several different countries without paying a huge amount of your budget on accommodation. Many hostels are surprisingly comfortable, and some even offer facilities such as WiFi internet and communal kitchens – so you can play online games like foxy bingo and even save money with a spot of self-catering! This can be a great way to see a good portion of Latin America, without racking up huge hotel fees.

If you’re keen to experience the culture of Latin America, then a good place to start is with the cuisine. The food that you’ll find in this area of the world is truly fantastic, and available for relatively little cost. If you want to keep it especially cheap, then why not visit one of the many street food stalls which you are likely to encounter? You might not get a restaurant dining experience, but you are more than likely to find a delicious dish that you may not experience anywhere else in the world.

Lastly, don’t forget to look out for any free events which may be taking place throughout the duration of your stay in Latin America! This area of the world is renowned for it’s festivals and other big events, so this is a great experience that you won’t need to pay out for, and that you wont want to miss out on!

Puerto Panasco, Mexico

Rocky Point, Mexico

Nothing settles the soul quite like taking a walk around the beach at dusk and this picture of Puerto Panasco shows the beauty of Mexico. Not only does the ocean solidify my love affair with Mexico, but makes me really reflect how truly lucky Shaun and I are to have the opportunity to travel the world. Sunsets and beaches just don’t get tiring for me.

If you do happen to find yourself in the Puerto Panasco area for a bit, you may consider Rocky Point vacation rentals. Rocky Point (as is known by the locals) is another name given to the area and is super close to the Phoenix area. Definitely an easy get away if you are in the southwest.
